Apprentices
Warrior apprentices will be made when a kit is around six moons old. This may be delayed or brought forward a little at the discretion of the leader, the kit’s mother and the medicine cat(s).
Warrior apprentices are encouraged to do the following before being made into warriors.
- Partake in training threads with their mentor (or another warrior)
- Do an assessment thread
- Message the roleplayer of the leader or reply to this thread with your character's warrior name before the ceremony. Otherwise the leader will assign a suffix to your character.
An apprentice must be in at least three roleplay posts before they will be made into a warrior.
Apprenticeships may be shortened if the apprentice has shown they meet several of the following criteria through roleplay.
- has an obedient disposition
- are above average in both of their core skills (hunting and fighting)
- are very good in one core skill
- do something heroic (at discretion of the leader)
Apprenticeships may be extended for the following
- Struggling at hunting or/and fighting
- Making excessive trouble for their leader, mentor and/or clanmates
- Breaking the warrior code
- Endangering themselves or their clanmates
- Severe sickness or injury will delay the ceremony. This should be considered before breaking your apprentice character's leg or giving them greencough. You should notify a member of staff if an apprentice is severely sick or injured so she can make a note to delay the ceremony.
